CAMPING AT THE CONFERENCE

A temporary camping ground is being constructed within walking distance of the conference and festival site.  Shower and toilet facilities will be available.  Bookings are available when purchasing conference or festival tickets, or alternatively by emailing the Accommodation Manager at conference4@girringun.com.au.

Camping costs for those paying upon arrival at the camping site are $10 per site per night, plus $5 per person per night.  While ATM facilities are expected to be available nearby, it is strongly recommended that you have sufficient cash available to pay for your camping (and other needs) prior to arriving in Cardwell.

NOTE: Children under the age of 5 years are FREE, and do not contribute to the number of persons. Campers must supply their own camping equipment (tent, sleeping gear, etc).

Powered sites are likely to be available at an additional cost for those with camper vans or mobile homes. Please understand that fees go toward the huge costs involved in providing toilets, showers, water, lighting and security for the site.  The campsite is an alcohol-free site.

CAMPER-VANS, MOTOR-HOMES AND 4WD CAMPERS

Visitors are encouraged to consider the versatility of Camper hire as an accommodation option which will also allow for personnel freedom in travel.  Smaller campers can be hired at very low daily rates, with Cairns and Brisbane housing the major pick-up centres in Queensland, although other hire locations can be easily found.

Competitive rates can be quickly calculated at www.campertravel.com.au, www.motorhomesandcars.com or www.discovery-campervans.com.au.

If you are providing a service for the Festival and are having difficulty acquiring accommodation, please contact Girringun’s Accommodation Officer on [07] 4066 8300, or email at conference4@girringun.com.au.
